住宅位于杭州余杭，为南北走向的长条户型，每层占地不大，上下四层如山岭层叠，为了空间感受更加舒展，设计线以每层平面铺开，化零为整，每一层的功能都得到最大程度的释放，并通过垂直交通实现空间的交叠，最大的发挥户型优势。

The housing project is located at Yuhang District in Hangzhou. With a long and liners building structure, the house is divided into four floors with smaller areas on each floor. Take a walk through the floors is almost like climbing a mountain. Our design strategy starts within each floor, solving the structure problems by combining the fractured areas to create a smoother spatial experience. The program of each floor was accomplished to the max. Vertical circulations run through the overlapped areas and highlight the biggest advantage of the original building structure.

张扬与克制

入户层的原始高差切断了空间的连续性，过道末端的造型墙，压低的“窗口”即是玄关空间的视线交点，也是视觉起点，引导人们的视线穿过餐厅延伸到猫屋和花园，从而串起完整连续的空间，弱化错层带来的突兀感，空间得到自然的过渡。入户地面炫目的大理石花纹，如同万花筒般梦幻，在这极度的张扬中，简约的黑白线条始终贯穿其中，张弛有度。

The height difference of the original structure cuts down the skinny entrance, force your sight to naturally falls onto the geometric sculpting wall. The lowered viewport leads view through the dining room to the cat patio and garden, which brings the fractured areas together into a complete and continuous space. The awkwardness of height difference was reduced to the minimum and created a natural transition through the entire floor. The pattern of the marbled floor in the entrance has a kaleidoscope-like mesmerizing effect, yet the simplicity of the black and white lines showcase a level of restraint.  

下沉式卡座设计化解了原户型卫生间存在的地面高差，在整个敞开连续的客厅空间中，营造更有深度的空间层次感。同时让室内拥有更好的采光和与众不同的空间视野。

The sunken seating area transformed the height difference of the original bathroom floor, which created a more in-depth spatial elevation in the open and continuous living room. At the same time, it brings more natural light and outdoor nature inside.

融合与剥离

我们希望整个公共空间更舒展流动，重新优化布局后，将阳台纳入整体布局，空间得到最大程度的延伸。同时，宠物作为重要的家庭成员，将上下二层相互联通的猫屋设计融合茶室功能，打破了楼上楼下的物理壁垒，最大限度地连接了两个垂直空间，增加了客厅和餐厅之间的互通性。

We wish to create a more transparent and smooth public area as a whole. The patio was taken into space after optimizing the floor plan, and it extends the interior space to the max. As one of the important family members, pets have their own playground as well. The transparent cat patio has two vertically jointed floors, which also function as a tea room. It breaks down the physical barrier between floor heights, connects the two areas together vertically. The conversation and connection between the living room and dining room were further enhanced.

完全向客厅开放的茶室和猫屋，像一个透明的容器，在开放和封闭之间切换，空间的开合和聚拢满足了不同的使用场景。

The tea room and cat patio are fully open to the living room. It acts as a transparent container that can easily transition between open and close, which allows the different scenarios to happen along with each use. 

一层立面大量运用构成设计的手法，通过调整窗户和柜体之间的比例、材质、肌理，赋予空间更多的细节，橱柜设计和立柱结构结合，嵌合厨房储物和功能，削弱了立柱的存在感，使得厨房动线更流畅合理。

The elevation of the first floor was created with composition design in mind. The varied proportions, materials, and textures of windows and cabinets bring more details to space. The kitchen cabinet was designed to work around the load-bearing column, which added more storage space as well as decrease the presence of the column. Together, they created a smoother and more reasonable kitchen circulation.

内敛与自由

主卧大胆的使用双动线布局，在整体内敛稳定的的氛围中增添了灵动的一笔。弧线门洞和卧室的地面抬高暗示空间的切换，确保衣帽区和卧室作为独立空间且互不打扰，黑色地板和包容性极强的灰色构成低调极简的卧室空间，承托出落地玻璃带来独一无二的视野，每次拉开窗帘都如同展开一幅风景画。

The bold double circulation space planning of the master bedroom added a whimsical touch to the subtle and calm atmosphere. The arched doorway and raised bedroom floor indicated the change of program in the space, ensure the closet and bedroom will not disturb each other. The dark floor and inclusive gray color compose a subtle and simplistic bedroom space, which further enhances the unique outdoor view from the high window.

顶层拥有挑高优势，设计上运用了大面积浅色温润的木色，明朗的线条构建出一个富有想象力的空间，撕掉儿童房的固有标签，传递给下一代正确的审美的同时，营造出符合儿童的天性的自由空间，是一个可以和小朋友一起成长的空间。

The top floor has great height advantages. The large areas of soft natural wood and fun shapes created a space full of imagination. We removed the stereotypical label of “kids room” and created a free space for children to grow. It’s a space that will grow along with them, and pass down the ability to appreciate art to the future.
